Citrus Mint Salad-1-11

If you’re a fan of fresh fruit, you’ll love this citrus salad. While fruit is always delicious on its own, there’s something special about combining citrus fruits into a vibrant, zesty salad. I’m a huge citrus fan—I use lemons nearly every day in my cooking, and oranges, mandarin oranges, and grapefruit all have a place in my kitchen, too. Each variety brings its own unique sweetness, acidity, and refreshing aroma. So why not combine them all in one simple, healthy salad?

This citrus salad is the perfect way to showcase the natural beauty and bold flavors of citrus fruits. It’s refreshing, light, and so easy to throw together, making it a great addition to any meal or just as a snack on its own. The bright, juicy oranges, tangy grapefruit, and sweet mandarins come together in a stunning display of color and flavor. But what really takes it over the top is the addition of fresh mint. Inspired by the Mint Lemonade I love making, the mint adds a burst of freshness that enhances the citrusy goodness and makes this salad even more irresistible.

This citrus salad is a showstopper both in taste and appearance. Whether you’re serving it at a brunch, as a light side dish, or just enjoying it as a refreshing snack, it’s guaranteed to brighten up your day. And the best part? It’s super simple to make—just peel, chop, and toss together. Perfect for when you want a healthy, no-fuss dish that delivers tons of flavor!

You definitely don’t have to take the fruit out of the membrane, and can simply peel the oranges and grapefruit, cut them up and use them in the salad as is. However, there is something SO marvelous about biting into the juicy morsels with no membrane in the way. It really blows my hair back and makes my mouth feel free and unrestrained. Besides, the membrane in the grapefruit is simply awful, in my opinion. I can’t eat grapefruit with the membrane at all. It’s way too bitter.

I like to segment a whole bunch of oranges or grapefruit, store them in the refrigerator and we have a snack ready to go all week.

Wow Olga, I’m liking your posts more and more everyday! I get so many ideas and advice from just reading your blog. As a newly married couple, I was actually just thinking of how often I should bake every week and a thought crossed my mind “should I bake every other day?” You answered my question.

This recipe sounds so refreshing! All the fruits are my favorited! Will be making this soon! Thank you again Olga!

Wow, those are some vibrant colors, great job with photos Olga. We are big on citrus as well, but we usually use oranges or mandarin oranges in our smoothies :).

      Thank you, Natasha:).
Every time I cut a grapefruit in half, the color takes my breath away. Amazing!
I also love freshly squeezed citrus in smoothies too.
